Experiments in Texture & Colour
I have always been drawn by colour and texture. Throughout 2017 I developed techniques with acrylic, ink and tactile texture. These works are on paper and canvas supports. I want the viewer to be drawn towards the colour then want to touch the work.

My Fetishes (power figures)
Below are my fetishes inspired by Grayson Perry's book and exhibition, "The Journey of the Unknown Craftsman". After seeing this I visited the African rooms of the British Museum to see the fetishes, which I feared and loved. These objects (sculptures) are owned by villagers. Magical objects like bones and ashes are placed inside the power figures. Loud noises are made and nails driven in to them to awake and harness their power. Then magic happens! My female figure has power within which she can awaken herself.
