At home in my garden studio.

Hello,

You have taken the time to look up my name and website which I thank you for. I would like to share with you my art  journey so far.

In 2017 I graduated from Winchester School of Art with a BA First Class Honours in Fine Art. I spent the last two years of my degree based in the painting studio. Though I specialise in painting, I have found that installation, photography and poetry have also become ways of expressing my ideas and creativity.

I had been brought up to believe that only a rare few are born with the gift of art - and I, was not one of them. When I was about 55 years old, I started water colour classes and was instantly smitten. I still look in wonder and amazement at any art that I produce. On retirement, I took a B.A in Fine Art. I love to paint and draw but have also produced sculpture and installation.

My joy is to experiment with colour, texture and different media.

I am fascinated by the relationship that can occur between the viewer and the piece of  art. My wish would be for the viewer to feel an emotional and spiritual connection that words cannot convey. I long to be able to reach the heart and soul of my audience as inspirational artists like, Vasily  Kandinski, Gerhard Richter and Alan Davie have done for me.
